Summer Student (Vancouver)

First Peoples Law LLP is seeking a summer student for 2025.

 First Peoples Law is committed to defending and advancing Indigenous Peoples’ inherent and constitutionally protected rights. Our objective is to play a meaningful role in Indigenous Peoples’ ongoing pursuit for a more respectful and equitable world for themselves and their children.    

 We provide the highest-quality legal services to our clients while actively participating in public education initiatives. Our work includes providing representation and strategic advice to First Nations, Indigenous groups and Indigenous corporate entities across Canada.

The salary for this position is $5,000 per month. 

What We're Looking For 

We are seeking a summer student who shares our commitment to protecting and advancing the rights of Indigenous Peoples and is eager to take part in advocacy and public education initiatives that extend beyond the traditional practice of law.  

The summer student will work out of the First Peoples Law office in Vancouver, BC. This is a full-time fixed term position from May to August. This position is open to students currently enrolled in law school as a JD candidate.
