The Administrative Assistant will have the following combination of skills and experience:
2+ years administrative experience, including calendar management, scheduling, drafting correspondence and general office duties
an excellent eye for detail
understanding of law-firm processes
highly skilled in using typical office software, including MS Office Suite, and an ability to independently learn new tech tools and systems
demonstrated strength in time management and organizational skills
ability to work well under pressure, both independently and as part of a team
certificate in a legal administrative training program or equivalent educational experience
a sense of humour
Description of Position
The Administrative Assistant’s primary responsibilities will include:
supporting lawyers with file opening processes, accurate formatting of legal documents, tracking action items and deadlines
reception duties such as answering incoming calls, sending/receiving couriers, ordering supplies, keeping common areas tidy and preparing meeting spaces
scheduling and calendar management covering different time zones
coordinating Canada-wide travel arrangements and tracking travel expenses
organizing client and firm social events
ad hoc duties as required
The successful candidate will work regular full-time hours and a minimum of four days per week in the office.
The estimated salary range for this position is between $50,000 – $56,000. Compensation will be determined on an individual basis, taking into account the applicant’s qualifications, skills and experience, applicable market rates, and other relevant considerations.
