Excellent technical skills are a prerequisite for joining the First Peoples Law team, but by themselves are not enough. We practice commitment-based hiring. All potential new hires must demonstrate a genuine commitment to our values and principles.

First Peoples Law is seeking the following additions to join our growing team dedicated to defending and advancing the rights of Indigenous Peoples in Canada.

 

Articling Program

 

Articling at First Peoples Law provides a unique opportunity to work collaboratively with recognized leading lawyers and on behalf of inspiring clients across the country on cutting-edge Indigenous rights issues.

We are seeking articling students who share our commitment to protecting and advancing the rights of Indigenous Peoples through high-quality legal representation and is eager to take part in advocacy and public education initiatives that extend beyond the traditional practice of law.

Application Timelines for 2025-2026 Program

June 28, 2024 at 5pm PT | Application deadline 

July 15 - 19, 2024 | Applicants will be called to arrange an interview 

August 12 - 14, 2024 | Interviews will be conducted either in-person or virtually, subject to the applicant’s availability 

August 15 - 16, 2024 | Job offers will be made to successful applicants
