We provide the highest-quality legal services to our clients while actively participating in public education initiatives. Our work includes providing representation and strategic advice to First Nations, Indigenous groups and Indigenous corporate entities across Canada.

First Peoples Law provides a unique opportunity to work collaboratively with recognized leading lawyers and on behalf of inspiring clients across the country on cutting-edge Indigenous rights issues. We offer a flexible work environment and a supportive team with offices in Ottawa and Vancouver.  The salary for this position is $6,667 per month.

 

What We're Looking For 

 

We are seeking summer students who share our commitment to protecting and advancing the rights of Indigenous Peoples and are eager to take part in advocacy and public education initiatives that extend beyond the traditional practice of law.  

 

The summer students will work out of the First Peoples Law office in Vancouver, BC or Ottawa, ON. This is a full-time fixed term position from May to August, 2027. This position is open to both 1L and 2L students currently enrolled in law school as a JD candidate.
