As most people by now know, the recent Supreme Court of Canada Tsilhqot'in decision is a game changer for Indigenous—non-Indigenous relations in Canada (see my earlier post). Today’s release of the Tsilhqot’in Nation’s draft mining policy is a prime example of what to expect—the exercise of Indigenous laws based on Indigenous values and aspirations.
