The attached letter, signed by over 150 settler and Indigenous academics and legal professionals across Canada, was sent to Prime Minister Trudeau and Nova Scotia Premier McNeil on October 1 urging immediate action to protect the safety of our client Sipekne’katik First Nation and to recognize and uphold Sipekne’katik’s Treaty right to a moderate-livelihood fishery.
